Careful control of engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
All PPI diaphragm compressors are designed and built for durability in the harshest plant environments under the most extreme operating conditions. Every design and construction detail of your compressor is carefully controlled.
Advanced engineering and design.
PPI's engineering and design groups develop and analyze each standard or custom diaphragm compressor and process control system to ensure optimum function, safety, and maintainability. System designs are developed using an advanced computer-aided engineering design (CAED) system.
Exacting and experienced craftsmanship.
Advanced designs demand exacting techniques in manufacturing. PPI's manufacturing resources include state-of-the-art automated metalworking equipment - often customized to work within PPI's precise tolerances. Of course, the hand craftsmanship in piping, welding, and the assembly of system components and instrumentation is assured to be at the highest quality, through PPI's decades of specialization and experience.
Careful control of quality.
PPI's quality assurance organization sets standards for quality and reliability, and ensures that those standards are met throughout the design, procurement, fabrication, assembly, testing, cleaning, and painting processes. PPI compressors can be built to meet the most rigorous objective specifications and standards set by domestic and international organizations.
Continuous frame lubrication for long life.
All PPI's compressors feature a force feed lubrications system that provides lubrication to all moving parts. All models have oversized bearings for added efficiency and longer life. Additional features include a large oil reservoir and a dust-proof crankcase. Running gear components within the reciprocating frame and crosshead guide are supplied with filtered oil under controlled pressure. A crankshaft-driven, gear type pump draws oil from the sump and forces it through a cartridge type, full-flow filter and then through the drilled passages to the main and crankpin bearings, and through the connecting rods to the cross-head pin. All oil passages are rifle-drilled. Oil level indication for all models is by means of a window type level indicator. To further protect the compressor, an oil level switch can be incorporated. The lubrication system for all compressors includes an oil pressure gauge.
